Message from our president, Gert Biesta

Dear colleagues,

Time is moving (too) fast – only 5 months to go before our conference in Pittsburgh. I hope that many of you will be submitting papers and session proposals by the 1 November deadline. In these uncertain times it is even more important for philosophy of education to have a strong voice in the wider educational conversation. Our conference provides a unique platform for developing our ideas and sharpening our arguments. It is also an important place for building networks and forming alliances. While budgets are very tight in many institutions, I hope that you all will make an extra effort to encourage students and new colleagues coming to Pittsburgh. As always: if you have any questions or suggestions with regard to the conference or PES more generally, please get in touch.
