Examples of op-eds written by education scholars:

Key questions to ask yourself before writing/pitching:

  • What do you know, based on your research, that you want other people to know?
  • What other people (everyone? All Americans? Parents? Teachers? Students? Voters?)
  • How does your research relate to what’s going on in the news?
  • What would the headline of your op-ed be?
  • Why is now the right time to publish it?
  • Why are you the right person to write it?
